I thought this would be a good place to get a grasp of the total amount of software applications that are used in dental offices. I am also going to be getting into the 3d printing business and providing prototype of fixtures at less cost then buying from a dental supplier might cost less. Anyway, I like to know are dental offices pretty much free to select from a MSP of there choice? As a independent tech working under XX and XX field companies, they allowed there clients to issue work orders where it was my choice to except or reject them. I have serviced network equipment, printers, network closets in almost every industry from Cell Communications, Education, Transportation, Medical, Retail, Warehouse, Us Military and Financial industry. My career started in 1999 and was hired on as a Microsoft contractor and then..left Microsoft to support networks for other Manufactures.
I know that some of the software the Dental Assistance and office managers used is very in depth. Because there are thousands of applications, it is very hard to have a MSP that does not focus on one part of a industry, to have as much in-depth knowledge vs the software creator. That was the complaint one Dental office manager had stated to me "I was working on something unrelated at the time of that comment".
So what software are offices using these days? Do office use onside servers? or are they going the direction of the cloud?
