Yes, thank you. I started rinsing with warm salt water, flossing, and using an oral rinse. The swelling has gone down a lot.Swollen gums is common with orthodontic treatment. Your teeth move through an inflammatory process, that can sometimes cause swelling of the gums as well. Additionally, there is also more plaque accumulation around teeth during orthodontic treatment, due to the difficulty in cleaning.
I would start with rinsing with some salt water. If the swelling does not decrease after about 10 days, consider seeing your dentist for a proper cleaning, if you haven't been for a while.
