I brook a piece of one of my molars about a year ago just as i was about to set out on a year long travel and couldn’t book an appointment. I haven’t chewed on this side for that long and have been trying to up keep it until I get back but now I notice my gum is growing around it? What would a dentist’ course of action be for this. A crown?

Good day
This is quite common. Depending on the severity, the tooth can either be restored normally under rubberdam isolation, or if severe, it needs to be cauterised or cut away, given time to heal, and then restored.
