Gum growing inside broken molar

Hi,

I have a complety broken molar that has broken beneath the gumline. Inside there now is what looks like gum, it’s causing absolutely no pain but I am concerned if this could be dangerous? Or could this just be gum growing through the tooth?

I am petrified of dentists!

I have now booked an appointment but I am hoping someone can give me some advice snd peace of mind in the meantime.
