Ive been seeing my current dentist for 5-6 years and had a root canal on tooth #30 ten years ago.
I’m puzzled as to how my dentist didn’t detect the furcation involvement and the issues with the root canal during my annual X-rays. I’ve recently learned from an endodontist who did a 3D scan that there is significant bone loss in that area with infection
I’d like to understand how this could have been overlooked for so long and what it means for my dental health.
Now my dentist is recommending a bridge or implant. He also says he can remove instead of going to an oral surgeon.
