Endodontist - First Visit

Hey there!

I need to go to an endodontist in the next couple of days. I really don't know if there is anything I should be afraid of and if I can make any bad decisions while I'm there. I had a few visits at dental practices in my life and the doctors tried to make changes that I really didn't needed.

Maybe one of you have more experience with endodontics. The next endodontist in my area (St. Louis, MO) is this one: http://www.endodontiststlouis.com/

My question: Can I make any mistakes in my decision? How can I know which endodontist is good and which one isn't? Are there any certifications a endodontist should have?
