Emax crown broke within a week

Got my temporary back on and we're doing a full zirconia over a 3/4 emax we originally tried after have the discussion with my dentist I understood they were trying to save more bone but said let's go ahead and do full crown zirconia for #11 upper k9. Hoping this will be stronger and last. Now the painful processes of having to wait again for the lab.

@Dr M if you do reply doctor mentioned zirconia doesn't bond as well as emax so that could have me worried a little but emax already cracked so thought zirconia might be a tougher choice. Regardless is the worst that could happen the zirconia just slides off the k9?

Zirconia is a lot stronger than e-max. Worst case scenario is usually that it might debond, which means that it can just be re-cemented. This does not happen often if the correct bonding procedure is followed.

Which otc items are best for temps coming loose? 3rd time this office has sent me home with loose temps the following day they say tooth paste but I doubt that holds for the three days they are closed.

You can ask your pharmacy for a temp cement. Don't know what is available in your country. Preferably something that is not very water soluble.
