Between a doctors recommendation/instructions and an over the counter medication usage instructions, which will have greater validity? Whom should patients take their word? Whom should patients follow instructions from? I.e. a cavity mouthwash

A severe cavity has to be drilled out no way around it. Cavity mouthwash just prevents future cavities from happening, it's not a cure for existing cavities.

Then why would someone tell me this,

Why not act mouthwash in the morning and listerine at night? Dont most if not all cavities form while were eating sweets and sugary foods instead of while were asleep after brushing and flossing?

If your doctor tells you something follow that advice. A OTC Tylenol may recommend twice daily but your doctor could recommend only one over different metabolisms. Don't always trust doctor Google just take it as tips to bring up with your actual provider.

Why would most drs recommend to use act in the night and listerine in the morning? Why is this? Why would this be the case? Why not vice versa? Can you kindly give me your opinion?
