Dental hygienist damaged tooth?

I had my teeth cleaned yesterday and noticed today when I drank something or brushed my teeth with cold water, my lower teeth felt super sensitive when it didn’t before. I checked my tooth and noticed a hole/ scrape on my tooth? It’s extremely sensitive now and prior to my cleaning that wasn’t there and I never had any sensitivity. Did the hygienist damage my tooth? If so what can I do to fix it?

After a cleaning it is normal to have some sensitivity. Not to say any damage was caused. This can gradually decrease over the next week. You can try and rub some Sensodyne toothpaste on the areas where you feel sensitivity and then leave it on-don't rinse it off.
Do this 2-3 times a day.

What do you think that little scrape was from?

Could be normal wear and tear from the top tooth, or it could be a chip you sustained a while back during normal function, and you only noticed it now, because of the sensitivity after the cleaning.
