Costco's 2 electric toothbrushes: Sonicare vs Oral-B; best?

Costco, where I buy food plus most anything else,
is currently selling these two "electric" toothbrushes:

"sonicare deluxe elite" e9650 $125 at costco
Brush-head looks like normal toothbrush, with (presumably)
    normal 1-dim back-and-forth VERY-FAST motion.

    Oral-B "8875 DLX" $90
brush-head is circular; is rotary, with "3d" motion,
    ie rotary + in-out along rotation-axis.

    What opinions? Which is best?

Or, are there *other* brands and models that
    far surpass these two?

    THANKS!

  2. Both are fine products. Buy the one which you think you will use more.
Studies show consistently that the brush that remains in you r mouth the
    longest, works the best.

Thanks to both of you for the responses.

The Cochrane group review showed that sonic toothbrushes were not
better than manual at removing plaque. Oscillating brushes were about
10% better. This was an independent review of all the available
research at that time. Based on that I would go for the Oral-B (and
    indeed I own one).
