Constricted breathing during dental procedure

I had a filling on my lower right molar tooth (LR6). The dentist asked me to move forward in the seat as she was too small to see the tooth being worked on. My back was not supported and they also asked me to put my jaw onto my chest, my tongue was pushed forward and the dentist forced it back into my mouth with a large suction tube. All of this constricted my breathing and was a very unpleasant experience. I complained then and later in writing and was informed this was normal practice. I have a filling in this tooth already and was not asked to adopt this posture be other dentists. In your opinion is this normal/acceptable practice?

I think that this is not a good dental service... It doesn't really break the law, though. If I were you, I would stay away from the dentist and the office. Better find other clinics that respect and understand their patient. RighT?
