Concern Regarding Gum Appearance

Hello,

I’ve noticed circular/patchy area on my gums (photo attached). It has been present for some time. I understand that gums can naturally have different textures, colors, and occasionally bumpy areas, but I wanted to check whether this appearance is considered within the normal range.

Any insights would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

This is normal. The white patches is just areas where you have some bony growths in the jaw, called exotosis. This is within normal limits.

Thanks so much for getting back to me! I just wanted to check about a different spot on my gum, not the exostoses. I’ve attached an image with the area highlighted and would be really grateful for your advice whenever you have a chance.

Those are most likely fordyce granules, which is also normal.
