Charged twice for filling same tooth

Iam having a filling done privately on a wisdom tooth on the side of it, this will be the third time as last two have failed, now the third time needs a slight filling at the end of the tooth apparently and Iam being charged for each one even though it’s the same tooth being worked on at the same time, is this normal? It’s £200 a filling so it’s £400 just for 1 tooth, this time instead of using the grey they are going to use white filling.

edited to added, on my appointment quote the 2 fillings for the same tooth have different tooth location numbers on them, the first one is correct but the second is a tooth that has already been done.

am I being taken for a ride here?

If it is a different area on the tooth, then it counts as a different filling. Although I don't understand while all cavities on the specific tooth were not filled in one visit.
If it is a private dentist, they are under no obligation to do a filling free of charge. They charge according to their discretion.
