Can gums take a while to recess over crown

Just got a left crown on k9#11 I can feel the edge of the crown where as my gums seated over my right crown. Wonder if this is a normal healing process or it's just stuck this way.

Hard to tell but the crown doesn't even look fully seated

If there is excess cement, it might prevent the gum tissue from growing over the margin. I would check to see if it is a smooth margin first. However, there is also a chance that the margin prep was done supra-gingival and in such case, there will be no gingival overgrowth.

What should I ask them for a fix I'd think feeling a sharp edge hole on top of the crown would cause leakage way quicker.
