hi, hope ye can help.1.5yrs ago i had 6month old crown replaced due to black line and bad fit.since the new one went in,the gum never really stopped swelling/pinkness around it.today ive noticed blackish tinge showing through the gum.i cant go back to the dentist again,can i treat it with anything to heal it myself?

Not permanently. Swelling means inflammation and possible infection. You would need to visit a dentist to treat the source of the problem.

I think the crown is not fitting properly for some reason or you get an infection under your crown too or gum infection. If there is a gum pocket and is also causing gum receding and inflammation. So go to your dentist as soon as possible.
