My 13 month old had a fall at the park yday and burst a lip, this morning I have noticed a little black line down her front top tooth. It’s not causing her any distress and she’s eating and sleeping fine so I don’t think it’s cracked. We are trying to get an emergency dentist appt for her. Has anyone had any experience with this? When I google it, it says it can be temporary. I am just praying it doesn’t turn the tooth grey/black or should I just accept that is what is going to happen?

With a baby tooth, you will need to wait and see. The main thing is to ensure that there is no damage to any other adjacent structures or the permanent teeth.
A course of antibiotics is usually indicated and then regular follow-up visits is advised. The tooth might change color if the nerve died, but if there is any sign of abscess formation, then the tooth will need to be taken out.
