Continue eating soft foods (yogurt, mashed potatoes, soup, smoothies) to give both sides of your jaw a rest. Avoid hard, crunchy, or chewy foods. When you do eat, try to chew slowly and use both sides as evenly as possible to avoid overloading one side. You can continue to use any prescribed pain medication as directed, or an over-the-counter anti-inflammatory like ibuprofen (Advil, Motrin), assuming you can take it. Ibuprofen is particularly good as it reduces both pain and inflammation in the muscles and jaw joint.
