3D tooth model

I believe that clinical notes are better written if there is a 3D model of a tooth is available. The 3D model can be rotated and a region can be marked with annotations. It can also be handy for explaining the procedure to patients.

Is it a good idea to develop a 3D software, focusing on clinical notes recording?

Thanks
