My wife signed a treatment plan in January to extract #15 with graft and membrane.
And for #s 19&20 which were extracted yrs ago to each have single implants with individual crowns both provisional and finals.
I had several extractions done by the same Dr. on my teeth which have crazy roots. The practice does a lot of tv ads about their care for patients and all the advanced equipment they utilize to control all aspects in house. They also state that they are expensive for these reasons.
I was happy with work done on me so decided to sign a very expensive contract to have it done in professional time and matter because my wife deserves it.
The day of IV sedation surgery we were told approximately 3-4 hours, then told designer came in so 2 more hrs to leave with provisional crowns. Crowns didn't fit so 2 more hrs.
So after 8 hrs in chair she left with one crown covering where 2 individual ones were supposed to be and single one had holes all the way through with screws recessed below surface.
She's went back 3 times since. First for 5 hr scan, made another that didn't fit .
Then 3 hr visit, scan and made another that didn't fit.
Then 2 1/2 hr that resulted in skin flap bleeding that had to be numbed and cauterized. He has dental students observing often and they asked why he kept applying what he said was neosporin he said it might get infected.
Her final still didn't fit so he cut the length and kept sanding the height till her other teeth bite was fitting.
He used a tape he said would probably come loose and set her next try 5 weeks later even suspecting possible infection.
It fell off 3 days later. She called Friday about moving appt up and they said they'd call back. No call.
I'm going to request a cd of complete records he has. It is in Tennessee and they have a pretty clear code.
He put an extra implant in and on the 5 hr visit was told by assistant they might cut something then he denied she said it, then assistant said she told my wife that then he still said she didn't.
He never admits to mistakes and still won't explain why he did it and what he intends to do. We are not going back and am going to have someone else remove extra implant if needed.
Then we'll deal with recovery of all costs.
The pics I'm posting is all we have to show for countless, wasted, very uncomfortable hrs and $12,000 unrefundable money. In my opinion they've breached the contract in multiple ways and I know of one hippa violation on unapproved, unsecured data device with picture images.
I know this was too long but trying to avoid a bunch of questions.
My wife kept saying 3 implants but in provisional from day 1 it had 2 visible posts. They must have left abutment off to bridge middle implant? I didn't see third one till other 1 fell off Thursday.
I'd appreciate any guidance on this nightmare.
