Hi all

Can you Help my mum who I fear can't take much more. She has knife edge ridge on her upper jaw, possibly due to osteoporosis. The bone is so worn down in places filing down to flatten it is not an option. What are her options? With low bone density I'm not sure she could have implants and the mouth is so sore she can't wear dentures, therefore can't work or eat in public. So sad to see her like this. Please help.

One option is having her denture relined with a soft tissue reliner.
This is kind of elastic material that won't press her mucosa against her knife edge ridge that's causing soreness.
She will though have to periodically repeat the procedure because these reliners harden after some months.
