hygienist vs. assistant

In most states, dental assistants can be trained on the job to perform a wide variety of functions. Dental hygienists, on the other hand, must complete 2-3 years of college courses, receive a minimum of an Associates degree and pass a 3 part boards exam.

My opinion: A dental hygienist
