Hello I've recently visited a dentist for a root canal after I had came out (hour and half later) in pain I was shocked to see that he had drilled through my gold filling to hopefully remove the root ? This was very painful even with an injection. My question is should he have done this? In that way? Surely the filling should of been removed to get to root? Thanks.
