Range of Dental Diagnosis

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hi, I am currently a 2nd year dental student and was very curious i
any of you could give me an idea of your range for diagnosing differen
diseases in your patients. I was very interested in how many cases o
such things as bulimia, cancerous skin lesions, AIDS, cardiovascula
disease, etc. you come across in your patients and whether or not yo
take it upon yourselves to diagnosis and/or refer to a specialist. I
is becoming increasingly apparent to me how much dentists are expose
to a patient's overall health and was wondering what roles yo
personally take in analyzing one's health further from their teeth an
periodontum. I appreciate any experience or information you may have
Thanks
