I'm hoping to find a way to be in "your part of the world" in late
October or early November. If we can manage a good plan, is it possible
we could meet in Italy or Croatia with my Italian friend?

Of course it's possible, you just have to say when and where. Seriously, I
live for that day cos I'm on the edge. Tinnitus and facial pain are killing
me, I have big difficulties with swallowing, my varnish is almost gone so my
all teeth hurt like hell etc...

Yeah, I know, but I'm not, I have a nightsplint. Three years ago I had a
closed lock, since then my life is an agony...

Hello Amatus. It's good to have you around. I was hoping for others to
get involved in the discussion. But, I realize that the summer's final
week and weekend were probably getting more attention than smd posts! ;-)

Anyway, Gex posted a link to the NTI materials online and expressed an
awareness of the device's use. I also mentioned AGELK because Dr.
Stradaioli has an office only a matter of hours from Gex. Dr. S is one
person who uses both the NTI and AGELK; each case being considered
unique, of course.

Gex lives near the capital city of Croatia. Dr. Stradaioli practices in
Trieste, Italy (and Udine). If there is no one in Croatia near to Gex,
Trieste seems a reasonable distance to travel. What do you think?

If you had a closed lock, then you HAVE to be a clencher. If your horseshoe
splint covers back teeth, you probably clench even harder on it than you do
on your teeth. The NTI or the AGELK should help a lot.

I also had 4 overnumbered teeth, 3 in lower jaw and 1 in upper. Been on a
surgery and pulled them out And now they are saying that this could be the
cause and they're pulling my wisdom teeth out, all of them, they think that
put the pressure on my joints. What is your opinion? I also have a nasty
tinnitus, it is like a high-pitched sound emmited by some old TV set or a
monitor, just much louder. I can triple the volume just by jutting out my
lower jaw or opening my mouth. It appeared few moths after locking up. And
since then gets louder and louder.

The extra teeth and the wisdom teeth should have **no** effect on your
problem (as you describe it).

Wisdom teeth **CANNOT** put pressure on the TM Joint.

Tinnitis is related to the spasm of some fibers of the Lateral Ptyergoid
muscle. It is side effect of clenching. The volume of the ringing changes
with mouth position due to the changing tension on the Lateral Pterygoid
muscle.

Ok, but since my jaw locked up, my joint never went back to the same
position as before, it seems to me it just strecthed, dunno how to describe
it. I never get that feeling of normal bite again. Like my lower jaw is all
"narrow". And, when opening mouth, first left condyle goes out (the one on
which closed lock appeared) then right. And that hurts a lot.
