Mouthwash Controversy

MY dentist stated that with proper flossing, brushing & scheduled cleaning a
mouthwash is "generally" not necessary. Logic tells me that mouthwash will
kill both positive & negative oral bacteria. Which one of the two bacteria
is the dominant one?

Only the manufacturer of the mouthwash can present studies showing the
mouthwash to *significantly* make any difference.
