INVISALIGN is trying to convince you that it's "patients first" when
trying to help you (and your dentist) continue your treatment after the
recent settlement between ORTHOCLEAR and INVISALIGN. They are stating
that they will "finish your case for free" in INVISALIGN. What they
don't tell you is that the dentist or orthodontist has to shell out
almost $2000 to become "INVISALIGN-certified" before they can submit
your case. That is robbery, and basically they have you and your
dentist between a rock and a hard place.
I would encourage any and all patients and dentists to contact
INVISALIGN directly (
www.invisalign.com) and voice your concern.
INVISALIGN was overpriced to begin with, and now they are trying to
screw those whom are now forced to finish in INVISALIGN. You would
think that this would be their perfect marketing opportunity to get a
TON of new dentists on board with INVISALIGN by waiving the
certification process, or the fee, to finish existing cases. Instead,
they are infuriating many dentists such as myself who will never trust
them, or this technology again. Long live straight wire.
