Impacted Canine tooth

I am leaving for the military in 6 days and have an impacted canine tooth... is this going to cause a problem? i know once I get to boot camp they do a dental inspection. Having no tooth is one of my biggest fears. I know they can pull my adult tooth down with braces and a chain but Im not sure I would really want to have braces. are there any other ways to do this? Do you think they would discharge me from the military due to an impacted tooth?
