Chamber of commerce? No.... just a VERY ordinary dentist (at least I
know that and don't submit my patients to unnecessary risks). Speaking
another language is like learning/using any skill: if that bike tour
lasted three months, your brain would have had time to recall and use
what you learned.
This is one of the great things about Europe: EVERYBODY speaks at least
two (many times four) languages fluently. They have to. We in North
America tend to shy away from that. The day that your President and our
Prime Minister can speak three or four languages, is the day that North
America will regain its glory.
